I HATE KING STEPHEN. I'm sure he was a very lovely person really but essays about him are the worst of the worst. Yesterday was the first time since being here I have regretted taking history... right now I would much rather be learning a book full of science than writing about the antics of the medieval monarchy, actually right now I would rather be do anything. Im having to consume a lot of chocolate to get me through this one.:)

As someone who has learnt quite a lot of science over the years (and forgotten lots too) I would like to say that I didn't know there ever was a king called Stephen!!! Your blog is SO educational as well as amusing. Hang in there more fun things are on their way.
the good news is that there was only one King Stephen ..er, says the linguist who knows no history at all ... and after this week he can vanish into history for good. Will send chocolate.

Made a mistake on reading your blog - I thought you were doing an essay on Stephen King the novelist!! So who was this king Stephen - with me being Scottish - he was not one of our monarchs.......! And I suppose technically our reigning Queen is Queen Elizabeth the First of Scotland too! Isn't history complicated - see it depends on who writes it - because if you weren't there it is all hearesay from the people who eventually won all of the battles!!! Ha! I agree with Sarah - your blog Is educational - as is anything which makes you think! - Hope you managed to get the essay finished without too much more chocolate!
