A lecturer is a man who tells you a simple thing in a confused way in such a fashion as to make you think the confusion is your own fault.

Where: history seminar 9am
Who: welsh guy with a posh accent: corduroy trousers and nondescript woolly top.
What: king Stephen- medieval history...

him- asks difficult question
class- awkwardly long silence as if in a vortex where time itself stands still
one person- answers
him- "yes ermmmm well alriiiiiigggghhhht. no."

times this by about 8 or 9
:)

I often wondered that about some lecturers uni. They seemed to delight in showing off their knowledge and exposing my ignorance. Maybe thats why they are not called teachers!

A lecture is a place where information is transferred from the notes of the lecturer to the notes of the student without passing through the brain of either!! As I'm sure this is true your title is also true!!!
